Europe may ban vehicles like Ferraris and Porsches from public roads because they are such fuel hogs. If the measure is approved, use of these sport vehicles designed for high speeds would be restricted to race tracks.

A member of the European Parliament from England said: “cars designed to go at stupid speeds have to be built to withstand the effects of a crash at those speeds. They are heavier than necessary, less fuel-efficient and produce too many emissions.'’
