The New Windows Are In!
A crew of four is here today installing the new, energy efficient windows upstairs!
This will make a big difference in energy use this winter. In past years, we would have to use duct tape to get a better seal on the old storm windows, otherwise the rattling would make us crazy at night! We could feel the cold air at the windows, and knew they were not getting a tight seal, even when we secured the lock.
In addition to dramatically increasing energy efficiency, the new windows will also be easier to use. Easier to open. Easier to clean. Easier to install the window A/C unit, and easier to remove it when summer is over!
Old windows neatly stacked in the yard!
Hole where a bedroom window used to be, waiting for a new window!
New window installed in Tom's studio!
