Investment world worries about climate change too?
My anonymous aunt now has an anonymous friend who shared an article with me anonymously! Thank you Mr. Anonymous!
It's a very interesting take from an investment advisor named David Kotok at Cumberland Advisors. The article as much as says we are screwed (at least the way I read it). He believes that people are too complacent and that nothing will happen until there is a big crisis.
The Kotok article also includes a link to a very alarming report from NASA. This shocked me. Not so much because of what the report says, but because the Washington Administration actually let this out! They have deliberately down-played the issue for 7 years --- why the change all of a sudden?
Now, keeping with the idea that we have eyes, and seeing is believing, here is a graphic from the NASA site. What it shows is the average daily temperature in the Eastern US in July. On the right is 1993 actual data - on the left is 2085 based on modeling data. Lavendar is upper 70's, green mid 80s, yellow low 90s, Red 100, Dark purple 108+... Note, there was no dark purple in 1993. Also, where we live, western Chicago area was average upper 70s in 1993, and is projected to be average low 90s by 2085.
At least Nova Scotia will still be cool...
